About Beijing

Beijing (北京) is the capital city of China and represents the country's cultural, political and intellectual heart. This exciting and dynamic city is home to 17 million people and the Beijing dialect sets the norm for Mandarin pronunciation.

Beijing not only stands as the most exciting and thriving travel destination but also provides students with the optimal environment for learning Chinese. In 2008, the world’s attention turns towards Beijing as host city of the Olympic Games.

The Academy of Chinese Language Studies has two campuses operating in Beijing.
They are:

Lido Campus

Located in the dynamically expanding area of Wangjing our Lido Campus is fitted with the best facilities to accommodate students. These include; 24 modern and spacious classrooms, heating and air-conditioning, 3 large outdoor terraces, a student cafeteria, student exchange lounge, and free internet Wi-Fi for students.

The Lido campus is situated within close vicinity to: Marriot Hotel (next door), Lido Hotel (5 minute walk), 798 Art District (15 minute walk), Central Academy of Fine Arts(10 minute walk), Beijing Youth Politics College (next door), Wangjing Hospital (5 minute walk), IKEA (10 minute walk), McDonalds & KFC (10 minute walk), Wangjing Mall (15 minute walk), Cat Lifestyle Mall (15 minute walk), , plus numerous other shops and local restaurants.

     


Soho Campus

The Academy's Jianwai SOHO Campus is in the heart of Beijing 's central business district. Jianwai SOHO is a busy urban center integrating many residential areas, offices, recreation facilities, restaurants and retail outlets. Our SOHO campus has 16 modern classrooms, heating and air-conditioning, a student exchange lounge, free internet Wi-Fi for students and is easily accessible by public transport.

Jianwai SOHO is in close vicinity to: China World Trade Centre (5 minutes walk), China World Hotel (5 minutes walk), Tiananmen Square & the Forbidden City (10 minutes drive), China Mobile (same floor), KFC (same building), Wangfujing shopping district, (15 minutes walk), plus numerous other shops and restaurants in the Jianwai SOHO complex, and surrounding CBD. Jianwai SOHO also plays host to over 40 commercial, cultural, and fashion events, including music festivals, street shows and fashion shows each year.
